Organic coffee...better...?
I recently wondered what made regular coffee NON-organic. So, I did a little bit of searching (which I got paid for, btw, check out my profile) and discovered that organic coffees are grown free of pesticides, chemicals and artificial treatments. These things are never used in any step of the growing and harvesting process. Interesting. The reason I started looking into is was this: I used to get daily headaches- but last fall, I made two significant changes. One was my diet- switching to more whole, natural foods. The second was switching to organic coffee. My headaches were gone almost abruptly. I didn't really consider the reason- I just figured it was the better diet in general and didn't think too much about it. Well, about a month ago, I started drinking non-organic coffee again (long story not relevant) and, while I have been eating a little more processed foods, the coffee was the big difference. And, suddenly those headaches returned...about a week after drinking the coffee. And it was a distinct feeling, very specific- the same type of headache I used...
Coffee that I enjoy, 12 a day takes the soda away.
I've been introduce to this coffee in match 2008. In 50 years I've never had a coffee this good. Not from those big coffee shops. It's 100% Arabica from Africa,AA Grade, ORGANIC, Not blended with cheap filler beans, full-bodied and perfectly balanced, blackberry, chocolate finish. What is it?
How Green is Your Kitchen?
I was reading an article on simple ways we can save, reuse and recycle in our kitchen, without making major changes in our lifestyles. Here are a few good ideas, to help start out easily:Many people think that using a dishwasher wastes a lot of water. This is not true, if you wait to run your washer when it's completely full. Handwashing dishes uses a steady stream of water, both to wash and then rinse. This all adds up, especially if you're like me and wash every time you have a few used items in the sink. If you remember to save up and do your dishwashing only when your appliance is full, and turn off the heat-drying option, you will save water, energy, and ultimately, money.Remember to avoid throwing greases down your drain. You could end up with an expensive visit from your plumber; but grease in drains makes it extremely difficult for sewage treatment facilities to do their job properly.Recycling is an obvious choice, but many of us don't realize how many recyleables there are in our kitchen. Empty cans, bottles, glass jars and containers..all these can be placed in a separate recycling bin, carried to your curb for trash pickup, or taken to your nearest recycling...
What is your idea of a perfect date?
I stumbled upon a personality quiz from a celebrity fashion mag I bought.. the result of the quiz will match u with a certain celebrity who also shares the same taste as you.. one of the questions I find so fun to answer is "What is your idea of a perfect date? the choices are...a.) The works: going to nice dinner and school dance with a corsage on my wristb.) a quick bite at a loud restaurant where all of my friends are hanging out, and then going to the multiplex to see a comedy on a huge screenc.) a long walk, or an even longer conversation about my favorite book over organic coffee or herbal tead.) going to see my favorite band, then yelling to each other on the ride home since we're practically deaf from the music....my answer is letter D, haha! I've never experienced it before but I find it kinda amusing and interesting.. and also very funny.. lol. and my celebrity match is Hillary Burton (One Tree Hill), Kelly Clarkson and Fergie.. so cool coz I admire this celebs too! ... if your answer is A.. you're like Kate Bosworth or Renee Zellweger ....B, Nicole Richie and C, Vanessa Carlton, Joss Stone and Natasha Bedingfield IF D... you're like me! lol....
