Expresso or coffee? Whats your cup of tea...
I use to love American coffee but ever since staying in Italy I am an expresso lover! At first it tasted so strong and bitter..After a while I started craving it! American coffee to me now tastes too watered down...I even drink my expresso in milk in the morning...
hot coffee or cold coffee??
which one do you like i like cold coffee with ice cream in it tastes great
Which device you use for preparing a coffee?
It seems quite a strange question, but the fact is that there are really many different devices, depending on the type of coffee you want: American, Turkish, Italian-Neaples, Italian-Moka, Italian-bar-espresso, Italian-cappuccino. So there are many different devices. In general, I prefer the electric devices, and in particular the automatic espresso machines, but also moka is a good way of preparing when you can't reach a cafeteria.
Bold Coffee vs Mild Coffee
When I worked at Starbucks, there were a lot of early morning clients who wanted to order black coffee to get them started. We were required to ask whether they wanted the bold coffee of the day or the mild coffee of the day. Just about everyone responded with, "The bolder the better."What about you? Do you drink coffee black? And, would you prefer bold in the morning or mild? The interesting thing is that the bolder the coffee, the less caffeine it has in it. Because it is roasted longer, more caffeine is cooked away, but it has a less bitter taste. So, bold and less bitter, but with less caffeine? Or, mild and as much caffeine as possible?
back to cold espresso coffee again!
That's the only negative thing I find about myLot[em]thumbdown[/em] I love my real Italian Espresso, black with no sugar but I like it HOT! I had forgotten that once I get back to reading and discussing here then HOT espresso becomes a thing of the past again. I make my coffee after I've eaten and wash up the dishes while it's on the make. Then I bring it to my desk and open up here .... and that's when it goes cold[em]angry[/em]What's negative for you about myLot? Do you drift from what you should be doing when you're here too?
What kind of Coffee do you prefere?
I prefere Italian Espresso. My favourite brand is Illy Caffè.
European men are so much more romantic than American men!
European men are by far the most romantic in the world. You American men all think you're so suave and sophisticated. Well, think again! European men make you look like the immature, inexperienced little children you are. They really know how to make a woman feel special over here. Unlike the so-called men in the States, European men know how to treat a woman right. For one thing, European men aren't afraid to come up and talk to you. And they know how to start slow, with a nice cup of Italian espresso or a long walk on some historic street. They know the places you can't find in any tourist guide. They know the whole history of the cities in which they live; who the fountains are named after, who the statues are. I remember one unforgettable night in Athens, I sat and listened to a Greek sailor for hours as he told me about the countless men who fought over Helen back in ancient times. Afterward, he told me he loved his homeland even more now that he'd seen it through my eyes. I ask you, would an American man ever say something as deep and beautiful as that?European men know the most romantic little cafés and bistros and trattorias, candlelit places where you can be alone and...
Are home espresso machines just a past fad?
I never use mine anymore. And I had a beautiful set of Italian espresso cups and saucers for sale for a long time that never sold. Do most of you just brew a quick cup or pot of regular at home and then do a Starbucks thing on the way to work?
