I've heard that the original Brewstation tends to leak, so even though they're really cheap now I think I'd go for either the Plus or the Deluxe. The thing is I can't figure out what the difference is between those two. I think the Plus was the second model, they made it bigger to accomodate tall travel mugs. But there are TWO versions of the Plus, one has different settings (dark, light, etc.), but the other doesn't. Then along came the Deluxe, which is the most expensive, but I don't see how it's different than the Plus with the settings. It can be about $20 more so if the Plus with the settings is as good I'd get that. Does anybody have any knowledge of the different varieties of Brewstation?

| | Any tips for successful juicing? | | Some years ago I bought a Juiceman Juicer--I've been known to give in to infomercials a few times in my life. Gee, I think I spent over $200. Juicing didn't work out for me at the time, but I think it was because my approach was all wrong. I thought you had to combine many different fruits and veggies in a drink, which gets expensive and time consuming. I combined apple, carrot, celery, beet, lemon, and ginger. This tasted pretty good for a while, but one time it turned out nasty and made me feel ill drinking it. I think the carrots and apples were not very fresh. That turned me off to juicing, and I gave my juicer to my sister when I moved.Well, I'm into juicing again in part because of my interest in eating more of a raw and whole foods diet. I got myself the Hamilton Beach juicer from Walmart.com, and my approach this time is to keep it simple. No need for complex combinations. This makes it easy and inexpensive. I enjoy just orange, or just carrot juice, or combining two or three things. I tried orange and pineapple juice over ice this morning and was amazed how sweet and delicious it is. What tips and techniques help you keep up... | |
| | The Best Automatic Iced Tea Maker | | I did a lot of research before deciding which iced tea maker to buy. What sold me on the Hamilton Beach appliance was twofold:1. The water drips into the center of the pitcher, so the nice white surface of the appliance never gets stained, and no spilled tea ends up on the counter top either.2. The oval pitcher stores right on top of the appliance or in the door or the refrigerator, so the design is really space-saving. I am so happy with this appliance that I wanted to share what I learned in case anyone else is about to buy a new tea maker. Even though we drink a lot of red tea, I wasn't sure the tea maker was be a big improvement over what we were already doing, but it sure is. This is an appliance I would not want to have to do without. The other concern we had was that it might make the tea too weak, but we solved that problem by using frozen tea instead of ice cubes to chill each fresh batch. | |
| | Does Anyone Have this Coffee Pot Brew Station? | | I'm thinking about getting the Hamilton Beach brew station and it's about $70, give or take, but I would rather find out from someone else before I buy it if it is worth having or is it too much trouble to set it up everyday to use it? | |
| | How many watts does your microwave have? | | We have an Hamilton Beach microwave oven. It has 900 watts. How many watts does your microwave oven has? And have you ever had a Sunbeam microwave. Sunbeam would be the name brand for the microwave oven. | |
