| | Do you think the price for coffee is expensive? | | I think the price for coffee is expensive. I think the cappuccino is expensive and also the smoothie.I do not think they should be expensive. They are refreshments.I think people should try to figure out a way to lower prices.I think that would be a nice thing to do for people.Take care. | |

| | Flavored Coffee... Or Just Scented? What Do You Think? | | So tell me about flavored coffee... is it REALLY flavored? I'll tell ya, I have tried soooo many kinds and they always end up tasting the same...bitter.Now on the other hand, theAROMA is fabulous! That's almost a good enough reason to buy it alone... but how do I actually get someflavor from gourmet coffees?A few days ago I made a pot of gourmet blueberry coffee. The smell was amazing and I couldn't wait to have a cup. The taste... bitter like all the rest.[em]cry[/em] | |
| | $50 for a small cup of gourmet poo brew??? | | Being the coffee junkie that you are, would you pay $50 for a small cup of gourmet coffee?
This gourmet coffee costs $600 per pound.Known as Kapeng Alamid in the Philippines and Kopi Luwak in Indonesia, this gourmet coffee is derived from the feces of a palm civet cat shown in the attached picture. The civet will only eat the choicest, and ripest coffee cherry beans which it excretes after several hours only undigested.Unable to digest, the proteins in the beans are broken down thereby removing the acidity of the coffee. The beans are collected and washed in pure spring water then dried in the sun before roasting. The digestive enzymes of the palm civet lend an interesting taste to the coffee. The result is a rich and strong aroma from a full-bodied coffee. It is thick with a hint of chocolate. It lingers on the tongue with a clean caramel aftertaste.Would you dare try it? | |
| | Coffee, anyone? | | While typing here on MyLot, I was staring at that rediculous looking cup of coffe with the words "MyLot" written in it. It got me thinking about all the different ways I like to "fix" my coffee! I guess it depends on my mood...Sometimes it's just black, sometimes it's with Hot chocolate and creamer. Sometimes it's Irish creme and hot chocolate mixed. My most fav one I found lately is called "Traverse City Cherry" cappacino. I mix some of that in my cofee when I put hot cocoa in it. If you like chocolate covered cherries, this is the whip! | |
| | | How do you make your coffee? | | Is it instant, or do you use a coffee machine?I myself do it the old-fashioned way... I grind the beans, put some boiling water on it (through a filter o c), and then 2 lumps of sugar.... Nice cup!
Sometimes I even pour some brandy in it, but only on Sundays.... LOL!

| | How do you drink your coffee? | | do you put sugar, creamer, milk or just plain? I usually buy 3 in 1 coffee with sugar and creamer. I don't like it when it's just plain, i don't like the bitter taste of it. | |
| | What would make you stop drinking your favorite brand of coffee? | | If you went to your local grocery store and they didn't have your favorite brand of coffee, would you buy another brand or just do without coffee? For years, I was a really big coffee drinker. That is, until I got pregnant and had to go off of caffeine entirely. And, then there was that uncomfortable four months afterwards when I didn't get caffeine either and stumbled around, half asleep, all day in a new mommy haze. But, the first moment I could do so, I went back to drinking coffee. Any coffee at all, any brand and any flavor was just fine with me.But, once the novelty wore off, I went back to my favorite brand Maxwell House. After awhile my spouse started doing the bulk of shopping. And, he never buys Maxwell House. He says it's too expensive, which is totally ludicrous, considering that he spends up to $30 monthly on sweets and pie. I guess that's what you get when you let your spouse shop for groceries. So, I was consigned to drinking the worst tasting generic coffee on the planet. And, that stuff tastes really bad. So, after about a month of gritting my teeth and putting up with it, I switched to tea. And, I've been... | |
