Join the discussion on Espresso Coffee:| back to cold espresso coffee again! | | That's the only negative thing I find about myLot[em]thumbdown[/em]
I love my real italian espresso, black with no sugar but I like it HOT!
I had forgotten that once I get back to reading and discussing here then HOT espresso becomes a thing of the past again. I make my coffee after I've eaten and wash up the dishes while it's on the make. Then I bring it to my desk and open up here ....
and that's when it goes cold[em]angry[/em]What's negative for you about myLot?
Do you drift from what you should be doing when you're here too?
| | | Turkish Coffee | | hi mylot friends,I have tasted several types of coffee, that is filter coffee,Instant coffee,Black coffee,Shonti Coffee, espresso coffee[em]rofl[/em],and recently i have known about the "Turkish coffee",it seems to be our regular coffee, just like instant coffee,i do not know is there is any difference in our coffee and in Turkish coffee, have you ever drink Turkish coffee, here all about the information about Turkish coffee, have a nice day with coffee[em]niceday[/em]Turkish coffee is taken at extremely hot temperatures and is usually served with a glass of cold water to freshen the mouth to better taste the coffee. It is traditionally served with Turkish delight. In the Mediterranean and southeastern Turkey, pistachio grains (kakuli/menengiç) may be added into the coffee. All of the coffee in the pot is poured into cups, but not all of it is drunk. The thick layer of sludgy grounds at the bottom of the cup is left behind. | |
| | Do you drink coffee? How much do you spend on coffee? | | Do you drink coffee? What is your favorite kind of coffee? Me I love to have a good espresso in the morning I have a problem waking up and staying awake so I drink espresso. I usually only have a few cups maybe 3-4 and I am done for the day with coffee. Regular coffee don't do much for me just makes me have to use the bathroom from drinking too much so I stay with the espresso coffee it don't do much but wakes me up. So do you drink coffee to stay awake or just cause you like the taste of it? We have an espresso machine at home so it is pretty cheap for us. We buy espresso coffee at an Amish store. That store is about 35 miles from here so we only go there when we can afford to buy enough to last awhile. We get our coffee for about 3 bucks a pound that is a good price since at any other store it cost about 10 bucks for the same bag of coffee. So how much can you buy your coffee for? | |
| | Kitchen Gadgets! We have way too many! | | Maybe I am crazy LOL!!! I woke up this morning and thought to myself how many kitchen gadgets does a person need? We have 2 blenders one we had and a friend gave us another one. She didn't know we had one already. We have 2 food processors a small one I use to cut up onions and peppers. Stuff for the homemade hot sauce we make during the summer months. And a large one I don't use it much it is for making hash browns. We have 3 fat daddy's deep fryers, and a different kind of deep fryer it is great for frying up chicken in a hurry. We have only one crock pot but I would like to get a better one of them. We have a regular coffee pot and an espresso coffee pot. A microwave and a 4 slice toaster. Okay this is all our gadgets the point of this discussion is that we have no counter space for anything that we need to use daily! Not a place to put down a single plate, coffee cup, etc. Now this is going to sound nuts but we don't have cabinet space either it is full of other cooking tools....LOL.
My question to you my dear friends is where do you put all the stuff...
| | Espresso or Long coffee: What do you prefer drinking? | | Coffee is a widely consumed beverage prepared from the roasted seeds—commonly referred to as beans—of the coffee plant. It is usually served hot but can also be served cold. A typical 7 fluid ounce cup of coffee contains 80–140 milligrams of caffeine, depending on the method of preparation.Coffee represents 71% of all the United States caffeine consumption followed by soft drinks and tea.
Coffee, along with tea and water, is one of the most frequently-drunk beverages, its volume amounting to about a third that of tap water in North America and Europe.
This is the definition from wikipedia of coffee.Anyway, I am italian. I love to travel in the world.
I have been in many other countries...but I never found a good coffee like the italian one.
I often found in restaurant and bar that coffee outside Italy that for coffee people means a long drink...40 cc of a brown liquid...that isn't really coffee...maybe only brown boiled water:-(
(for example in Germany or in France or in UK or Russia. I tried USA coffee too...and I am sorry to admit that it is not so good) Why can't people do coffee as it should be done? Maybe people doesn't like short coffee? I think it's...
| | | What's your favourite coffee? | | I love coffee. And when I saw the myLot coffee cup I wondered what type of coffee everyone likes? Is it espresso, cappucino, latte, mocha, or flavoured coffees? Irish coffee, French coffee? For me, it depends on my humour. There are times I just want a cup of hot strong coffee - Maxwell House if it's instant, Robert Roberts if it's filtered. If I'm out with friends I'll usually have a latte. So, what about you? | |
| | What is Tiramsu? Recipe included | | Tiramisu is a cool, refreshing Italian dessert that once tasted, leaves an indelible impression on you. Also known as "Tuscan Trifle," the dessert was initially created in Siena, in the northwestern Italian province of Tuscany. The occasion was a visit by Grand Duke Cosimo de'Medici III, in whose honor the concoction was dubbed zuppa del duca (the "duke's soup"). The erstwhile duke brought the dessert back with him to Florence. In the 19th Century, zuppa del duca became popular among the English intellectuals and artists who lived there Consequently, it is also known as zuppa Inglese. They took the dessert to England, where its popularity grew. Zuppa del duca eventually made its way to Treviso, just northwest of Venice, in the northeastern province of Veneto. Treviso is best know for its canals, frescoes and . . . Tiramisu. Stories are told about how Tiramisu was the favorite of Venice's courtesans, who needed a "pick me up" (the literal translation of "tirami-su") to fortify themselves between their amorous encounters. True? Probably not. But it makes for a colorful history. Its American popularity arose in San Francisco, and today, Tiramisu can be found in restaurants... | |
| | Three Months Without Drinking Coffee and I Am Counting | | I used to drink coffee just like I drank water. I did not even count the number of mugs that I drink in a single day. At the beginning of May, I ran out of regular roast. I remembered that I had an espresso coffee in my kitchen, so I went for it reminding myself to be easy on it. A few days later, my heart started beating abnormally, I did not care much at the beginning, though on a Sunday morning, my hearted started beating really fast. I did not know what to do exactly as I was alone at home. I though that I was having a heart attack and was about to call 911 or go knock on a neighbor's door. Then, I lied down near the window and tried to focus on nothing. A few hours later, my heart beats slowed down a bit, which allowed me to get up and make myself something to it. At that day, I vowed to myself that I am not going to drink coffee anymore. I was fearing some sort of caffeine withdrawal, some terrible headaches . Fortunately, nothing of that happened. Now, I just drink some tea and eat a bagel for breakfast and I am pretty fine. | |
