Did Elvis Presley Steal The Black Music World?
Some people believed Elvis Presley took the limelight out of the Black music industry. Elvis has always loved and admired Soul music. Elvis was accused of stealing Black rhythm and blues but such accusations indicate little knowledge of his many musical influences. Did Elvis Presley Steal The Black Music World?
Spiritual Inspirations of How Elvis Presley Might Have Been Part II
I began a journey through his past and probably like everyone else who has become interested in Elvis Presley, I have imagined and re-imagined how things must have been. I also think that none of us will ever know "exactly" how things must have been. I feel this especially after reading the written words about him that are conflicting in many ways. The facts of his life remain constant, but with each story teller, one has to only imagine what is told is coming through sort of like a distorted lens. For that reason every new inquiry into his life is a beginning rather than a definitive end to who this man truly was and how things really were.Finish reading this article at: http://smalldogs2.com/ElvisPresleyGraceland
Spiritual Inspirations of How Elvis Presley Might Have Been Part I
The spirit of God connects me to his past. The exact reason I believe is just to further substantiate the fact that Elvis Presley alone is not to be blamed for his so called bizarre behaviors and pill taking problems. He loved God and wanted to know about God's plan for him. As I look at photos of his childhood, I see a little boy with sparkling eyes and a fact that seems to say, "yes this is just who I am and I am very proud to be just who I am." His mother was one who was always on his side, always there with encouragement and a pure love. His success in music came suddenly from a natural talent. He didn't want the success to change him. He was troubled that his lifestyle would separate him from God.Finish reading this article at: http://smalldogs2.com/ElvisPresleyGraceland
Elvis Presley's Spirituality
In the book, Elvis by the Presleys, there is a photo of two pages from some kind of another book. I am guessing the book is one from his hairdresser or his collection of spiritual books. What struck me most about these two pages was Elvis's hand written notes in the margins (and not because his actual hand wrote the notes). I read first the actual print on the pages which says, "Walk like lions, but guard the little ones, because they will help you to open my doors. Have understanding (Ritz, 2005 Elvis by the Presleys)!" Out to the side and pointing to this portion Elvis wrote, "Lion shall lay down by the lamb (Ritz, 2005 Elvis by the Presleys)."Continue reading this article at: http://smalldogs2.com/ElvisPresleyGraceland
Elvis Presley Had a High Degree of Emotional Intelligence
What is one of our greatest assets as we pass through this present world day by day? It is our health. Good health is essential in every aspect of daily living from eating and sleeping to working and playing. It is wise to try and take care of our health the best we know how. Medical science has improved a great deal since the days of Elvis was living, but under the circumstances in which he chose to live, his health deteriorated at a faster rate than the average person.Elvis Presley was the first to admit he did not hold high academic degrees and he never did well in anything to do with school or the academic world. In fact, he failed even his music class. What does the average person do when they have eye pain? They either call a doctor for help or try and treat the pain with over the counter drugs......Finish reading this article at: http://smalldogs2.com/ElvisPresleyGraceland
Elvis Presley: First Exposures to Gospel Music
Elvis Aron Presley was born on January 8, 1935 as the twin of Jesse Garon Presley born about 35 minutes before Elvis stillborn in East Tupelo, Mississippi. Vernon Presley, father of Elvis, built a home in preparation for the birth. The home was a two-room shotgun style. Out back there was a pump and an outhouse. The home was lit withoil lamps when he and Gladys moved in December of 1934.When Gladys, Elvis's mother was twenty years old she took a job at the Tupelo Garment Plant that paid two dollars a day for a twelve-hour workday. She settled herself and her family on Kelly Street in East Tupelo where her uncles lived and had started a First Assembly of God church in a tent on a vacant lot.Finish reading this article at: http://smalldogs2.com/ElvisPresleyGraceland
Elvis Presley
I got to see Elvis in concert in Birmingham, Alabama one time and that was in 1976, the year before he died. It was awesome! He looked so good that night, too! The funny thing about it was that I didn't know for sure if I was going to get to go or not so I didn't count on it. I don't remember what the reason was. However, my sister, who was a big fan of his as well and had seen him eight times, gave me a ticket for Christmas that year! This had to be Christmas 1975. You should have seen my surprize when I opened that gift on Christmas Morning and found out I was going sure enough![em]wub[/em][em]w00t[/em][em]shocked[/em]! Because of the box it was wrapped in, I thought it was a piece of jewelry at first, lol! I am so glad I went to this concert, too, because I didn't know it was going to be the first as well as the last time I would get to see him. I remember he said that night that he hoped to be back the next year. However, he died the next year. I saw just about all of his movies and I had a lot of his records. I guess my favorite Elvis movie was "Flaming Star" because I've always liked westerns and anything concerning Indians. As I'm sure you know, he plays a half breed Indian...

The Beatles vs. Elvis Presley
Who do you think is more a music icon - The Beatles or Elvis Presley? Whose music made bigger affect to a whole music industry in 70ties? And who is affecting it right now? I would say that award goes to Elvis Presley. It seems he has been more powerful than The Beatles. What is your opinion on this?
Why do you like singing Elvis Presley songs?
Hi this is for the Elvis fans only. I'm no impersonator but I enjoy singing his songs and sounding like him when I'm in the bathroom. I guess it's not because he's popular but he has very nice song selections. Good song pitch and tempo. How about you? I have nothing against impersonators because the basic of it, they are also enjoying what they do and most have no intention of making ridicule out of it.
