| A New Life For Coffee... | | Most ppl use an automatic coffee maker to make their coffee and sometimes they quit working. They still run but you only end up with half a pot of coffee. Some ppl will figure the coffee maker is broke and toss it out. But here’s a little secret…it probably isn’t broke…it’s just clogged. About every 2-3 months I have to clean out Hubby’s coffee maker and here’s how I do it. I buy a regular bottle of white vinegar, I remove the old coffee from the pot, throw out the old grounds and filter and then fill the water reservoir with the vinegar. I turn on the coffee maker and let it run. Then I dump the pot of yucky vinegar and refill the reservoir with more vinegar and run it through again. Then I turn it off, dump the pot again and wash all the outside parts down…the filter basket (make sure you get the little spot where the coffee drips through, top and bottom), the base and heating plate and the pot. Then I fill the reservoir with plain water and run it through. I do clear water about 3 times. By then it should be running quickly again and making a full pot. My Mom didn’t know about this cleaning and has about 7 coffee makers (a couple are really expensive) that aren’t broke but... | |
| | I almost burned up my coffee pot! | | That's right it was a very scarey moment this morning. See, my alarm goes off and I push the snooze and hit the button on my coffee maker. But then when my alarm goes off I see that there is no coffee in the pot! I was like what the...? Then I realized I hadn't put water in it the night before. I had put the filter and coffee in it but forgot the water! I let it cool a bit and made another pot! sheesh! That was too close! You ever done something like that? | |

| Black & Decker vs Mr Coffee or Bunn | | I have a cheaper model Black & Decker coffee maker, my daughter has a little better one. I do not like the way they are set up. On mine, the top leaks every time I take the pot out to get a cup of coffee. On hers, the pot leaks when I pour coffee into my cup! I think they have some major design issues!I think I prefer a regular old Mr. Coffee or even a Bunn coffee maker. Do you have any issues with coffee makers? Do you have a preferred one? | |

| Coffee Maker Size, I Know Who Cares. | | I started a discussion once on where do you park your car at home. And one of the response I got was who cares. I know some of the discussions are non interesting just that curiosity gets the best of you. And I am curios about this one too I know who cares.I am on my second cup of coffee this morning and I am curious what size coffee maker do you have?I have two but I mostly use one of them and that is the small one.
I have a 4 cup size

| | coffee pot caput! | | Coffee pot is only 6 months old and quit on me Friday fixed it and every thing went to get coffee none at all it had gone caput!If ya didnt have an extra one how would you make coffe or would you go to 7-11 or star bucks?I took a pan put the little net thing that hols the coffee in it and filled pot wit water put in the net thing and boled it helped keep the grounds out of the coffe but it is stouter than from the electric pot! | |

I was working one night last week, and the gentelman that I wrok with was throwing a fit when I came in.I asked him what was wrong and he just kept telling me that his fu%^ing coffe pot was broke.. I kept asking him why he was saying that, and he just kept repeating this statement.I finally got it out of him why he thought it was broke. He told me he had to throw away 3 coffee filters full of coffe because the stupid pot kept getting water on the grounds. He kept getting the grounds wet, and was thinking that the coffe pot was broke because of it.So I tried to explain to him that they have to get wet other wise you would just have hot water. He didn't understand. Have you ever just taken your knowledge for grantid? Have you ever had someone not understand something that you thought was just so simple? | |
