Where are the best coffee beans from?
I go to the local coffee shop around the corner just about everyday at lunch. Every couple of weeks they have huge burlap bags of coffee bean delived from around the world. They then roast the beans daily so the place smells increadible, the beans are super fresh and taste amazing!!! The dark roast, which is the one I get everyday, was from Mexico today. It was not as good as the one last week from Kenya. The one from Kenya was much richer in flavour. I also like the one from Guatemala. I am not sure if I like it more than the Kenyan coffee though. Do you have a preference of the location of your coffee and if so where is the world is the best?
Do you grind coffee beans on your own?
Some people think it preserves the aroma and the taste is richer..Is it so??
whether coffee beans are good when they are used in powder form?
what is your opinion about Coffee Beans
Coffee beans in the diaper pail reduce the smell!
A friend of mine wrote me --- " When our son started eating solid, the poop-- and therefore the diaper pail-- got a lot stinkier. A friend suggested that I dump a bag of whole bean coffee in the bottom of the pail before I put the bag in. In order to contain the beans, I put them in a zip-up mesh laundry bag. I couldn't believe that it worked! At first it smelled a little bit like Starbucks in my son's room, but after about a week, we really couldn't smell the coffee, and even better, we couldn't smell the poop either."
Does Anyone Else EAT Coffee Beans?
I love eating coffee beans, especially when I'm pi$$ed off, and need something to chew on. Last night one of my husband's ex-wives annoyed me, and I just wanted to bit something, so I ate a cup of fresh coffee beans. YUMMY!!! That cheered me up just fine. When I'm in a good mood I get out my fondu pot, melt some chocolate, drop some coffee beans into it and stir it up, and eat it with a spoon. Other times I'll mix up the beans and chocolate in my pot, and lay it out on a cookie sheet on wax paper, and put it in the freezer for a while, making my special Coffee Bean Bark. YUMMY!!! I especially like the stuff with white chocolate, or with melted Frenh Mint choolate bars (chocolate flaoured with Mint IN the chocolate) that we get at Laura Secord stores, here in Canada. YUMMY!!!!!!!!!
Coffee beans or instant coffee?
We have visitors that prefer instant coffee and that is what my husband and I will have to drink in the morning. It's better than nothing I guess. I definitely can taste the sourness in the Maxwell House instant and that leaves a really bad after taste. Throughout the day, I drink 3-4 cups of coffee, but this morning I had only one cup of instant and didn't make anymore. I did feel a jolt, but it didn't last long. I haven't felt the affects of caffeine in a long time, and the feeling I got this morning made me feel almost jittery. I wonder if instant is stronger? It possibly could be.
Cocolate and Coffee Beans
By mistake when I bought coffee yesterday I picked up whole bean sinstead of ground coffee. The store refused to let me exchange it out when I went back for ground coffee I could use in my coffee maker, so now I have an $8 bag of beans in my kitchen with no grinder. Since Valentine's Day is coming soon I thought maybe it would be cute to make chocolate covered coffee beans and put them in cute containers as gifts for my daughters teachers at school. Has anyone every tried making these? Is it easy to do? Also, any other suggestions for ways I can use these beans would be greatly appreciated.
Coffee Beans
I bought the wrong type of coffee yesterday. All I saw on the shelf was a deal to buy 2 pkts of "eight o'clock" coffee for $6 so I jumped at the chance. I didn't even read the packaging properly and just chose what I normally buy - the coffee in the gold packet. I didn't even check to see if it was ground coffee or whole beans. It ended up being whole coffee beans and I don't have anything to grind the coffee beans with.So what did I do? I put some coffee beans in a clear lunch glad ziploc bag and started pounding the bag with a hammer LOL It didn't quite work the first time because I didn't beat them down enough so I've just done another lot and am waiting for it to finish brewing. I hope it works this time.If this doesn't work, do you have any other ways I could grind the beans without using a proper ginding machine/equipment or whatever they call it? I need my coffee fix before I go to bed!!!
how many of you grind your own coffee beans? What is the best coffee
bean to grind? What has the best taste and which is best value? What type of grinder would you reccomend for a newbie?
roasting civet coffee beans
a friend of ours gave us this civet coffee beans and they are still fresh. im wondering if anyone has any idea how to roast and store it to preserve its freshness. he told us it's not available in commercial quantity and it's very expensive. i would really appreciate if you can give me some info. thanks
