| My Valentine's Day Breakfast | | I know it is well after lunch, but I just wanted to share my Valentine's Day breakfast because it was soo good! Today I decided to make some banana pancakes. I cooked them patiently, while trying not to dig into the batter or the chocolate pudding I planned on topping them with! Now don't worry, the chocolate pudding is fat free and sugar free, for it is made with fat free milk. While the panckaes were cooking, I decided to make some Caribou coffee to compliment my Valentine's Day breakfast. It was delicious and now I can't wait to go back to the store to buy some more chocolate pudding and bananas. What did you have for your Valentine's Day breakfast? Please share! | |
| | Fast food- when they don't tell you your total before you drive up. | | Maybe "fast coffee" doesn't necessarily qualify as "fast food", but anyway. I really like Caribou Coffee. However, I have a problem with the way they do an important part of their drive-thru business. Not one time have I placed an order in their drive-thru, have they ever given me a total before I've pulled up. Ok, sure. I'm the one doing the ordering, and the prices are right there. But I like to have them tally it up for me before I get to the window. Is that crazy? Is it too much to ask? Maybe it's because they don't ring you up as you order- they just repeat it back to you (loud enough for a helper to get the order ready), and as you pull up, they're on to the next person's order. I dunno.. does anybody else get where I'm coming from? Or is this just me, that part of society too darn lazy to do the math in my head? | |

| Favorite Coffee Chain | | What's your favorite coffee chain?Mine is Caribou Coffee. I used to live in Minnesota and would go their everyday on the way to work for my latte and muffin. Even drove off one morning with the coffee on my roof, barely awake. I liked the atmosphere of their stores too, with comfy couches and a real fireplace.Now I'm living back in Canada where there is no Caribou Coffee - just Starbucks or local chains.
